The Western Corridor Recycled Water (WCRW) project was Australia's largest recycled water project, comprising a 200km pipeline project with three advanced water treatment plants in heavily populated South East Queensland communities, as well as construction of a recycled water plant.
JTA's role included managing community engagement, consultation and communication for this project through the environmental assessment, construction and operational phases.
The highly complex project required JTA to manage engagement across five alliance teams, consulting with urban and rural communities across areas of Brisbane and Ipswich, and managing relationships with more than 100 elected representatives.
At the time of South East Queensland's worst ever drought, this project faced significant community, political and media scrutiny.
